Development of HOTheory and acknowledgement
The development of this database was an idea to motivate students to learn occupational therapy-related theoretical knowledge in their first professional subject called Occupational Therapy Theory and Process I in Department of Rehabilitation Sciences, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Accordingly, the subject teaching team began considering possible funding sources for the database and wrote a grant application in 2016. Finally, the initial development of HOTheory was supported by a small-scale Teaching Development Grant (project code: LTG16-19/SS/RS3) from the Learning and Teaching Committee Projects as well as by a matching fund from Department of Rehabilitation Sciences at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
